to me I will never drive away.

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst.

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we
might become the righteousness of God.

Welcome
to Wolverton Evangelical Church
We are a congregation of believers from different
backgrounds and a wide age range who meet together on Sundays
and Wednesdays and at other times as we have opportunity.
Every congregation has its distinctive's and
this church may best be described in the following way:
Christian. Members
of this church believe in Jesus Christ and have experienced
his life changing influence. They try to follow Jesus' teaching
in their daily living.
Evangelical.
All the teaching in the church is based on the Bible and has
the good news of salvation as its central focus. In various
ways we bring the gospel to the community and support missionary
work in the UK and overseas.
Baptist. The
church is constituted as a Baptist church and we baptise,
by immersion, those who come to personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Independent. The
church is self supporting and appoints its own leaders. It
is affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical
Churches which is a national group of about four hundred and
seventy churches in the UK.
It is our privilege to serve a wonderful God
and share the message of good news of Jesus Christ, his Son
who died and rose again that we might have eternal life.
Whether you are a professing Christian or someone
just wanting to know more about God, please read the other
pages of the web-site, discover more about us and meet some
of our people. You are most welcome to
our Sunday meetings or to make contact with us. Roger March
is the full-time pastor of our church and you can speak to
him on 01908 322409.
| Our basis
of faith: |
We subscribe to the FIEC statement
as a standard for membership and the 1689 Baptist Confession
of Faith as a standard for the elders of the church. |
